How to manage stress
from a mindfulness meditation perspective.
Mindfulness has become the new buzzword for 2019 and beyond, and as the research rolls in it’s less of a buzz and more of a roar. Mindfulness, as it turns out, isn’t a passing phase, and it’s easier than you think to add a daily dose into your day to manage stress, and limit burnout.
The key to practicing mindfulness is also acceptance, meaning that as you pay attention to your thoughts and feelings you don’t judge them. Staying away from the idea that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel, and simply observing . By practicing mindfulness, your awareness tunes into what is happening in the present moment both in your body and mind, rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
So when you are feeling caught up in the day to day, or are diving deep into an anxiety spiral, check out the below mindfulness techniques, or just simply notice your breath on the inside of your nostrils and come right back into the moment.
